This wonderful tune has the true, rustic feel of the Middle East. The title means ‘The Immortal River’, referring to the great Nile River of Africa, and referring to its historical status as the source of life in Egyptian culture. The original song is a beautiful one by Egyptian legend Mohamed Abdel Wahab, but what I like about this acoustic version is that it captures the beauty of the instruments when they play in harmony and almost paints a live picture of the rhythm of Egyptian life (if you ignore the annoying high-pitched distortion in the video). Hope you enjoy it!
